Speaking of QR Codes…

Here’s our first venture into same. This iSite poster was done to promote the Gabriel Metsu exhibition in The National Gallery of Ireland. You can scan the code using a number of applications over any of the major smartphone operating systems. For iPhone users, here’s one from the app store. Scanning the code takes you straight to the microsite for the exhibition.

QR codes have been prolific in the Far East for some time where smartphones have had somewhat of a head-start compared to Europe & the US. They’re becoming more and more commonplace in media over here. Think of it as a hard hyperlink, bringing the real and virtual worlds together.

Lots more lovely creative to show you for the Gabriel Metsu Exhibition over the coming days. Meanwhile, download the app and give it a go. Click to enlarge if you’re having problem scanning.
